I have the original. I'm not convinced that fins to make the water move more slowly (I assume) will be of any benefit to the pot stilling process.

Maybe I'm missing something.

That seems a great deal. I usually get from holland and barrett when they have a deal on and it's certainly more than that.

I have never filtered, but as ED suggests, it may be easier/quicker than re-distilling 2 or 3 times which is the more correct way Myles describes.
