Re: Very fast ferment!

Sounds good.
Got a feeling there will be some irony soon :D
Did you mash the grains or just add them in? This might explain the speed.

Re: Airstill Gin Making

I can't see a bag working. That is why I can up with the sputnik. You need the steam to go through. But try it...not sure what you will hang it on though. :o

found this today - t&l sugar 1kg - 59p poudstretchers, https://www.poundstretcher.co.uk/granulated-sugar-1kg
That's a good price.

I often fill up a carrier bag with 9 bags. Good fit and easy to explain. Christmas baking season now :D

Re: Mashes failing one after the other, HELP!

Perfectly safe, has to be. They run 24/7 for 2 weeks fermenting and probably longer for seed propagation ... just not as the manufacturer intended. :D

That's a tough one. It is almost there.

How much sugar did you start with?

Now that's a good idea - are they expensive? Please let me know how to get on - My 500's have 2 double Electric blankets that I was thinking of replacing, one has already been bodged with my soldering iron....

It's Life.. Like it.

My little play on words. Perhaps a good phrase for metal health week.
