Now for this specific (whisky) use,
I use a DJ and cork, lose a little over a year, as expected.
But not such as swedish does.
Never used jars for aging, and I am dissuaded to do so from what I have read here!

PTFE sheets are an interesting thought. I'm using the home bargain jars for cuts at the moment so have several.
Also working on sourcing cheap demijohns. Hubby is getting frustrated at the kitchen turning into a brewery but I've placated him with rum! :lol:

I generally use pasta/chilli/curry sauce "jamjars" and give myself credit for recycling.

i misread that - thought for a sec it said you'd replaced him with rum :lol: :lol:

I'm using the ptfe sheets in the kilner jars with screw tops, works a treat. never thought to add it to the clip top ones
