Water Flow Regulator

Post by billythekid » Sat Jul 13, 2019 3:36 pm

Doing a reflux column distillation today using the Still Spirits Water Flow Regulator for the first time. Far superior control with this. It was very easy to bring the column into balance. Holding right at 58C +/- 1 for 4 hours now, and I haven't had to make any adjustments to it.

So very glad I got it.

Well done, advice. Be very careful and try to avoid it running without water. Happened a few times for me.

Its the second best buy for my T500 after the voltage
regulator. The two combined give you so much more
control, therefore ending up with much better, nicer
product. ;)

How do you use the voltage regulator with the T500, is it for temperature control? Not sure if I need one as I have a Grainfather that I use as the boiler which has it's own temperature control system. But last time I used it with the T500 I just left it on full boil and monitored the temperature on the temperature controller.
