Rum Wash Ingredients

Post by StillBrewing » Tue Sep 10, 2019 2:13 pm

Hi Gents

My wife works in a small industrial bakery which supplies pastys and the like. Being a friendly bunch they have allowed me to buy whatever I want at cost price from their supplier Bako. I regularly use the Mauripan fast acting yeast for my brews and I can get it for a couple of quid for a 500g block.

What they can also get is Molasses, 25kg containers for twenty quid a go. The molasses is made from Cane sugar. Is it worth my while giving it a go with theis stuff or wouldn't the quality be good enough. They use it all the time in their bakery recipes, so it can't be too bad, can it ???.

Cheers

Yes very much so, ask what the sugar % is.
The one I use is 44% that may be even higher.

That seems a great deal. I usually get from holland and barrett when they have a deal on and it's certainly more than that.
Slowly slowly, catchy funky

Don't stress the yeast
