Did I break something?

By 2:15am I had enough wash in the boiler to turn on the burner. I set the fermenter on top, cocked just a bit to allow the spigot to continue pouring the reminder, and began setting up the water lines. Once the fermenter was down near the sludge line, I shut it down and set up the column. Went to test the water regulator... nothing happened. Spent 15 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong. Do I have a bad mains socket? Did I trip a breaker? Did I fry the little pump? Oh, wait, yeah, finally found it's two completely identical cords crossed over each other. All that time I was trying to plug in the Vitamix!
