I met her a couple weekends after my last post. We're a couple officially as of 3 months ago today. :) We're talking about getting our own place together next spring and getting married after that. Slightly off topic, I know.

My corn flakes whiskey is pretty good after a few months. It doesn't have as much flavor as I wanted. I'm thinking about starting a batch of real corn whiskey this weekend. Either corn or barley. My oat whiskey from a few months ago has such an amazing flavor. I want to try other all grain batches to get to know the individual tastes before I try mixing grains.

Tops dude, real happy for you.

Robert.

Distilling is like riding a bicycle, you will not forget how to do it.
Now, stop wasting time here, and get out and find yourself a partner,as that seems to be a high priority for you. You seem to be aware of it, so go for it. ;)
Please do not tell us of the fails, but of the success.
We are by nature a patient bunch of folk here.

This is some good shit. :) Cut it half and half with distilled water, and it's almost as smooth as water. With a hint of a wheat aftertaste.

I finally found the secret to making top shelf vodka. Start with a wheat germ wash, do your stripping runs with the pot still, then a slow spirit run at the end with the reflux column. Carbon filtration after diluting with distilled water is optional. This stuff is already smooth with a delicious hint of a wheat aftertaste.

Just my opinion, but if you have the capacity for storage, keep making it and let it age. ;D

How could you regret it?

Robert.

I am newly single as of a couple months ago. I just started meeting new girls again, just recently. :) It's fun. It is important as a single man if you want to find someone and have someone to be with. Life is better when you have someone to share it with.

I work long hours during the week, so weekends are pretty much my only free days. Staying home and distilling is an awesome hobby. I'll be doing it for the rest of my life. I'd like to prioritize finding someone to share that with, then get back into distilling.

I've got plenty of storage space. :) I've got a ridiculous amount already. It would be ok to take a little break and get back to it soon.
