As for undistilled wash and/or distillate smelling of vinegar ? well I don\'t know what analogy to use, but certainly not vinegar.... It seems that it does have it\'s own distinct, yet hard to describe smell....

making it go clear\'er? hmmm will have to check in the morning.

just out of interest i live in a hard water area (lots of limescale/limestone in the water etc) could this be killing it?

had a quick look at the 2nd wash, it kinda dosnt look as black any more, like the carbon is falling out or something ...... should it do this?? i dont remember my first wash doing this. it was kinda a \"dude where is my carbon!\" moment :)
