I hope you receive a decent donation for your kit.
It is possible to distill in small spaces, is it not?

I have a beer fridge which is a Seimens intergrated type fridge controlled by an ITC-1000
It isn't fitted into a unit but is used as stand alone on a worktop.

This is FREE for collection only, along with as much FREE homebrew gear you can carry, but a small donation would be appreciated.
My reason for sale is that I am moving into a sheltered apartment due to ill health.
My location is about 5 miles East of Norwich.

Anyone interested please PM me.

This thread seems to have already wandered off centre, so I might observe that the efforts of the all grain brewers I have had the pleasure of knowing, over the years, have produced brews which one can only marvel at. My own first reaction, on sampling such, was that it didn't taste like the popular beers available in Pubs. Gradually learning that that was exactly the intention, was a part of my taste education.

Much the same can be said of one's attempts in producing an all grain whisky. The intention is not to replicate commercially produced whisky but rather to produce the best possible whisky, limited at all times, by ones knowledge, materials, equipment and time.

My own product, whilst tasting unlike any commercial whisky is highly thought of by whisky drinkers of my acquaintance., and not simply because it's free. One would really have to be dim witted to spend an evening drinking an inferior whisky simply because it wasn't costing. Life is really far too short for such mindless frugality.

It seems to be the percentage that allows for the cleanest cuts.

Until someone comes along with better numbers;
I suggest 20+% Fores/heads
And depending where you stop collecting, maybe 30% Tails.
You don't get owt for nowt. :)
Those numbers relate to units in the boiler.
For best results do dilute to sub 30%.

Robert.

Interesting, why dilute to minus 30%

The larger the run, the less time messing with cuts.
