At the moment I\'ve been giving them the Essencia London special gin
How many litres will the Blue sapphire gin essence make as the above makes 5 litres of gin.

The next day I filter this mess through a couple of coffee filters to get a homemade (and better quality) gin essence. I use about 35 grams of juniper berries (crushed) and 350ml of vodka - 5ml (one teaspoon) will turn a bottle of vodka into a light flavored gin. 10ml make a more traditional, strong flavored gin. You can add other spices like cardamom, coriander, and lemon peel (about one gram of each) for a more complex flavor in your gin. Using 10ml makes a straw yellow colored drink.\"

The jar is placed in a pan of water (with a weight to hold it secure)

The jar was filled with some tails which were not to smelly and I added crushed juniper berries plus corriander, cardamon and lemon peel.

The hob was turned on and the tails boiled off and carried the distinctive gin flavour into the receiver. This was pretty successful -- but you could experiment for ever with different recipes and quantities.

Ciao.

but you must try the Essencia Blue Sapphire Gin errr link [url=http://www.onestopbarshop.com.au/product_info.php?products_id=1561]
Tastes like Bombay Sapphire, I am addicted to it, it will rock your socks off ..... but let it age AT LEAST a week, makes a HUGE difference. but if you want the gordons style try the SS Classic Gin better than the essencia
