Per 26ltr wash you need;

2.5kg Black treacle
4kg Demerara sugar
1 sachet Coopa Rum yeast.

put 3lts hot tap water
Boil 3lts water pour into fermenter
Add black treacle and beat like mad
when all mixed add 3 or 4 more lts
of warm water and add sugar.
Stir to dissolve and add air to wash.
When thoroughly mixed all sugar
dissolved (run spoon on bottom of
fermenter and you can tell)
Top up water to 26ltrs (1ltr for lees)
Got my temp to 25 c.
Pitch yeast cover and airlock.

Fermentation lifts of within 1 hour.
violent bubbling slowed after 4 days
OG 1092 down to .996 (thats about 12.5%)
will check again tomorrow.

The Coopa Rum Yeast is about £3.50
T&L Black Treacle is about £5 per wash
Tesco's Demerara is about £6 per wash
Total cost of wash just over £14
Should get about 10ltrs per wash

Not used this yeast B4 it has nutrient
in it. It is a turbo I think a bit in
the style of Vodka Star,so not using
that horrid black stuff.
All I know is that if the smell coming
off the wash is anything to go by,
this could be a goody :) :)
