I am now aware, and will hopefully not do it again.
An early Senior Moment.
Lets face it,a band named Niravana may not have quite the same clout.

It just make it easier to fit the element, StillDragon make an element housing that takes a 1"BSP thread and connects to a 2" tri-clamp, I thought about just cutting a hole for a UK size immersion element but in order to use a Q-Max cutter you need to get the inner part of the cutter inside the keg which won't fit through the standard leg connector, you also need a Essex flange, the cutter and flange will cost you about £60.

My two ferrules cost me about £14 and to get the holes cut and the ferrules welded on it was £25, so I guess it's just econimical, it's also easy to swap out elements of they connect with a tri-clamp ferrule.

The only hard part is sourcing an element with a 1"BSP Thread, which isn't too difficult if you search around a little, I bought mine off Amazon.

Out of interest. Why do we all seem to settle on the small dia element heads instead of the larger british standard?

Almost forgot to add the cost of the weld on ferrules from StillDragon, they work out at £14 for both, bringing the boiler build cost to £119 so far, hopefully I'll get it back by the weekend :)
