Just hit 80% from my pot still. One strip and one cleanup run. Well happy :)))))))))))

Well if I run my Smart still, it gives me between 58 and 62% ABV, which is good enough, but if I then let the spirit down to 40% and run that again, it will give me about 82% - I let it drop down to 80% and leave it running to recover the tails down to about 10% (which goes back into a "stripped" run for redistillation later).....
Quite happy with the 82% ABV......

Sugar or dextrose a high alcohol yeast kit and water, out of a 23 litre kit you should get around 5.5 litres of 65% Clean tasting vodka. (You can Run it through a carbon filter if you dilute it to about 55% carbon filtering doesn’t really work after 55%- )
Have a look here for several different yeasts http://www.goodlifehomebrew.com/high-alcohol-yeast.php. But loads about and it’s a UK based site.

Owners name is Paul, very helpful guy, and his prices are good.

or the link you posted- its all in there also
There also should be a little instruction manual in the tube you had the Hydrometer in.

with a temperature correction chart in !.

(I have 3 different types, all came with charts/instructions)
Simply add or subtract according to the chart.

http://homedistiller.org/dilute.htm#calc
I took a reading at room temperature of 22C which was 58%. Do I subtract the delta from the reading on the meter itself? I.e. is the true value 58-Delta?
From what I can see the standard temperature for a reading is 60F. Does the (false) reading go up or down with temperature? I only noticed the adjustment bit after I diluted my batch of 83% to a supposed 37% but then noticed the room temperature was 22C. Will it be under or over 37% with the adjustment?
I\'d appreciate a practical example to jog me along. My maths\' really are crap.
Thanks

Mine was 0-100 vol £4.00(ish) Goodlife Home brew centre- around £7 with a glass trail jar
You can get more accurate for a few quid more but I tried mine against some calibrated viscosity liquid- its pretty good for £4
