Half of what you say above just goes over my head.

Give me a PC and I am the man you want to fix your problems (its my job) but building things, my god I missed that boat.

As for pipe sizes, it seems that the largest that\'s reasonably readily available is 54mm

I\'m going to wait untill the t 500 comes to the uk.
Enjoy the classic brandy

I'm in the uk. And started distilling about 6 months

ago, I went straight for the super reflux starter set from wineworks

and have learnt so much from it, there was a steep learning curve

at first but practice makes perfect and now I'm experimenting further

in the field. It depends on what u want to do, wait till September for the

beast or start from the super reflux/air still and move upwards and gain experiance.

I will be getting the t 500 when it comes out over here. Untill then, vodka

anyone??

I picked it up today and he said he has had more peeps asking for it so it will now be a standard line for him.
Edit, If the Vodka Star is rubbish I will tell everybody.

Your HBS may just be pushing the SS stuff - higher profit margin maybe - we will see.

A setup like that would be great, will see how it goes. Its starting to get colder here in NZ now so an eye is always on the temp of the barrels.I am using a Heat pad and a blanket or two to keep it insulated a bit.
@Andy

Its an awesome hobby i know!Have read alot of people raving about the Vodka Star, very nearly bought some because of what i read but my local HBS told me it wasnt the best....still curious about trying though

What kind of difference in the distillate did you get between the Classic and Triple?

I will let you know on Sunday night how it went.

Then I have 5 packs of Vodka Star to run with.

I love this hobby LOL
