Might try a batch on a higher temp and see, but this time round I also took some heads out (about 250 fores + 250 heads) then the last 700ml as tails.

But as with you - LOVE IT :) I've a great stock in my cupboard now, with another batch to start fermenting. Still messing with flavours, but mainly drink gin anyway and the Essencia Blue Gin is more than drinkable :)

A double distillation will smooth it further

So I borrowed a T500 from my buddy to try out. Last night I set it up, got 25L of my wash running and made sure the outlet temp was 55c as best I could. It dripped sooo painfully slow that I gave up after about 4 hours.

Today, I got up early, plugged the unit in, heated it up and played with the temp. At 63c the nectar started flowing and after 3 hours, collected 3.7L total at an amazing 95% !!! No smell to it, and was amazed at it being 95% ! I called my buddy and told him what happened and he informed me that he forgot to mention that it needs to be hotter than the manual says. I guess every machine is different.

In closing. I love this thing. Soo much better than my airstill for making neutrals. Could not believe the yield and percentage. The airstill doesn't come close.
