On 20 Sept I pitched a Corn Wash as the 1st generation of my very first UJSSM and had hoped for a relatively speedy fermentation so I could get the subsequent generations through and start producing some real sour mash.
For the life of me I just couldn't understand why the thing was taking so long until today - 35 days after pitching.
The FG is now 0.990 and its ready to be racked off to the stripper and I can then start the 2nd generation and this time I won't forget to add the yeast bomb like I did on 20 Sept. Mea Culpa!
Stupid mistake - I should probably forego my usual Saturday night Bourbon Whisky tipple as punishment - Nah!
