That will depend on the type of still you have.
An air still or smart still will give you 60% but a T500 will give you 93 - 94%

once thru a distiller this will be 60-70% right?

so how much water do i add to 70cl of that to make it 40%?

im a bit slow with th maths as well haha

It never gets "clear as water" clear, but a rather reddy clear slightly cloudy but can see the bottom of the fermenter clear.
Edit to add: I never use carbon or turbo clear.

iv still got a bucket of triple still carbon stuff sitting in there, which was degassed but not racked, had 3 doses of turbo klar in it too lol. its gradually clearing now tho.. its been in there nearly a few weeks, few more weeks should do it i think lol.

gonna stick to the vodka star i think, cheaper and less hassle i think...

With a nice constant heat, you should be all done in 10-12 days.

That's all I did, and mine is looking very promising.

any good tips to make sure i do this one right? i have a heater tray so will be using that anyway. just going to use normal sugar though.
