Never thought of WD40 - I'll give it a go instead of T-cut, though that seems pretty good

Perhaps I am one my own here, but I get plastic labels that don't soak off. They peel off whole when warm. That is a dribble of water and a microwave.

That leaves a glue residue which any % alcohol won't touch. Wd40 or paraffin nails it.

I would be interested to know if goop remover works on these.

PS there are also plastic labels that are utterly immovable.

A soak in water to deal with the paper product, and after use waste alcohol for the gummy stuff works.

So what I do is a quick soak then scrape of what you can with the back of a knife then dab it on whatever is left on the bottle, gets rid of anything gluey like that. I've never tried microwaving or T-cut but if it works then why not?

Yes that's the stuff you don't need much you just dab a bit on leave for five mins and wipe off (slightly cheaper on EBay by the eay), I've also used one from Lidl called blaufix label remover.

I know what you mean about labels. Recently discovered how good stainless scrubbies are, after an overnight soak.

I’ve found the really sticky label glue responds best to SS scrubbers and plenty of dishwashing liquid which dissolves it

I thought the PET bottles where expensive. I looked at these things for beer a few months ago ..... and stayed glass. I recycle my crowns caps too.
