Just ran mine last night for the second time and got 3.6L out of Triple Distilled and used the Turbo clear (looked like water it was that clear). barely any smell. Very happy.

Brought a test tube so I could test, but couldn\'t test the strength as my alco meter is too long. It bottomed out with it reading 95%, but the spirit was above 20deg.

I may have to look at getting a in line pump to supply the water. I\'m on tank water and the pump is on and off causing inconsistent pressure. This was causing a 1.5deg temp variation of the water coming out of the still. I just tried to keep it at an avg of 55deg.

Going to put down another wash shortly & will use the Turbo clear this time round. Still debating on wether to do the Alcotec or Triple distilled again.

Hooked up the new column to my boiler & boiled some water, ran cooling water through the condenser at different speeds & no problems at all. No leak in sight.

My column was one of the recalled ones. It leaked from the seal that went into the condenser. Not a huge leak, just a drop every second or two. By the end of my first run with the T500, I was bitterley disapponted with this design. I rang the store that I purchased it from & he kindly replaced it for me. I have no problems now with the replacement column. To anyone looking at purchasing a T500, don't be put off by the flaw in the affected condensers or any negative feedback from other still manufactures. The T500 rocks, produces the cleanest & purest spirit available & can put out an incredible 95% spirit. I, as many others have mentioned, questioned wether the spirit needed to be filtered or not, it is truely that clean.

My first run produced 93% & I collected 3.5 litres. I would like to point out I never used any Turbo clear so my wash was not as clean going into the T500 as it could of been. If I used the Turbo clear I believe I would of achieved the 95%.

I cut my spirit to 40% using RO water & filtered it using my filter, a drop every second & it took around two & a half days to complete filtering.

I am very happy with the T500. It's awesome.

It is nice to see that SS are onto it as quick as they are, and that replacements are \"on the spot\"

It doesnt affect mine (thank god) but Crusty (Brian) did have one of these.

Brian can tell the story.
