I for one would await some good reports.
The price seems to be pretty good, so is this a case of getting what you pay for?

Had a good look at one yesterday, this is just my opinion.
It has the thinnest metal of all I have seen, when I opened the tap the body metal flexed.
If you use it on the floor, you have to crouch down to read the LED readout.
Bulldog already has a fault page for when the LED display goes wrong.

BUT, if it does the job I can see it selling in the UK.

That statement takes you to Braumeister terratory. They are a great bit of kit but "a couple of bob" more. A secondhand original is the way to go.

To me it looks like something knocked out by Aldi.

It might just about do the job but ultimately it's shit.

Spend a few more quid and get the quality Waitrose version, so to speak.

The first thing I noticed was the lack of a pump, with out one its no better than a cheap plastic bucket fitted with an element and sold as a mash tun.

You would think that if they went to all the expense of making a removable malt tube, A pump would be easy.

I've been watching these for several months now trying to get a handle on them.
Outlet where I originally saw them finally admitted when I walked thru their door that they'd only ever sold one. That was over a 4 month period. Since then they've sold another. Didn't have any to hand when I called in so was a wasted effort, claimed temporarily off market as being modified to include a pump. That claim didn't pan out.
NOT a Grainfather copy/replacement. Prolly only a slightly better option then an esky (Rubbermaid) type mash bin.
Videos on YT only really show up how little the people demonstrating them know.
Have mailed Keg King and suggested they should at least get a decent video out there. FWIW

Yeah. I reckon its 450 GBP delivered. Just add pump & pipe. Is it 240v in OZ?

IMO think I would buy a GF in the UK...or do an awful lot of research and read forums.

Sorry to say this but my experience was that the import tax was based on the FULL shipment value so it is price plus shipping that you get taxed on.

Its £360 including postage Grainfather is £650,a pump is less than 40 quid with connecting pipes.wish i didn't have to pay postage. Myles didn't know vat would be added that's another 80 quid

ps for me it was for all grain beer
