The coil is 10mm tubing and the legs were made from a piece of 19mm pipe.

Don't worry Bill, I'm old enough to remember both and have used them in the past but the SS scrubbers beat them hands down. A quick rub, no mess, no fuss, no polishing and voila! Shiny Copper

I mean, look at this bad boy...

...it took all of two minutes after major soldering operations on this to get it looking this clean and shiny with a SS scrubber

duraglit should keep it like that for a couple of weeks and easy to repolish

Polishing Copper is a job I hate but I do like it when my still's copper parts and nice and shiny.

After a recent soldering job I discovered I was out of steel wool and wanted to get some deposits off the copper coil. Next best thing available was a stainless steel scrubber which I took to the tubing and was amazed by the dramatic results..

I always keep my copper clean but was never able to get it this shiny without using a messy metal polish.
