Hi mate it will do 94 abv at 1.4 litre an hour with the right packing
Cheers

Well dunno what packing that'd be Bill. I tried proper rashig rings, copper mesh, etc. The only stuff I didn't try was SPP.

I did all the split water supplies and power controller etc etc.

The best I got was 86% ABV.......

I became convinced that there wasn't enough height of packing and the reflux band wasn't wide enough.

Ergo my above comment......

Did you do something different ?

Worked OK when I had one, but I couldn't manage to get the damn thing produce above 85% ABV.

But, if cheap, it'd be fine to convert to a better reflux column.......

That's a still spirits super reflux. Very good price for a wunner.......

Just for the convenience of the boiler would make it eminently convertable......

Shame its so far north.......

My one worked well, but not for very long, one of the wires broke off. i re soldered it back, but it was difficult to get the case back tgether, it did work but the case kept openning rendering it useless. So they work well, but I wouldnt buy another one.

Of course you'd need a thermowell fitted to put it in a column.
