This time, as my brother was also visiting, the bottle was cracked open and we had a taste. Being that this recipe came from him, I guess it was only fitting that we tried it whilst he was there.
This was an amazing drink.
One bottle of Vodka/Neutral
2 sticks Liquorice Root
5 Cardamom Pods
10 Pepper Corns
1 Clove
4 Thai Chillies (sliced lengthways)
Leave for at least 2 weeks.
I have just made this myself and am waiting to give it a try. Slightly modifying my brothers recipe, I used 3 sticks of Liquorice, 2 cloves, a stick of cinnamon, and rather than Thai Chillies, I used Birds eye.
