Maltodextrin is only partially fermentable and is really intended for beers to increase the body and mouthfeel. It will work for distilling, but might make the wash foam and won't yield as much alcohol as other sugars. Diatose is an enzyme, not a sugar. It is used to convert complex malt chains into simple, fermentable sugars. It may or may not break down the Maltodextrin. It would be useful if you are going to be doing All Grain or Partial Grain washes.

I'm new to brewing and I've been given a crap load of free maltodextrin,diatose and combo problem is I know what to do with the combo that's for beer. How do I use the rest ? There's 4x750grams of diatose,5x250grams of maltodextrin and the combo is 400grams corn syrup+600grams of dextrose have 5 kilos of that. Any help would be nice I keep getting advice which leads me round in circles.
