Double check the flow rate. If you don't need to pump hot liquid, I think you will may find the whale better. LPM v £

I'm now using 60litre buckets, filled to 40 or 50 litres, it's hard work lifting them above the boiler to use a sypon, not to mention dangerous for your back, I'm also on the lookout for a pump, the first type that came to mind was the solar pumps from the Solar project, they're food grade and I've used them before on my old Home brew setup,

Good yes. But for an extra couple of quid, you can pump from the floor to the worktop and properly save the lifting.

I started for me with 54l Carbouys which are v heavy and even more really fragile.

No the output appears to be ac you need dc.

Well thanks to Mash my transfer pump works great. i got a Whale Premium GP1392 In-line Water Booster Pump. The reason i got this one is so i can add a cap at the bottom to help stop the sediment being pumped. Connected it to a 12v wall slug. Work great thanks m8

well i've ended up using mash's idea a Submersible whale pump. The other pump wouldn't even move a same amount of water. so i'm waiting for this to arrive to try this out crossed fingers

I have for many years used 12 Submersible whale pump as used in caravans. Brilliant.

About £10. V fast. Sorted. A stainless stick is good so you can direct it for racking too.

Runs on a bike battery or a simple 12v wall slug. Cheap as chips goes forever. Use 1/2 inch clear hose wash out or spray with a little water to clean.

Guys please enlighten me on this subject, As i'm getting older lifting 25 liters is getting a pain in the A... so i'm thinking of getting a pump to move the cleared wash from A to B. would this work as follows
