Don't forget it's only a cooling flow no alcohol content so no worries about plastics, glue, etc

Trust me I found out the hard way :-[

1. not knowing where you are I don't know where you can get the tap connector, Still Spirits do make an adapter for the out side tap just find yourself a stockist that sells the T500

2. There shouldn't be anything in a new still to worry about, I just gave mine a flush with warm water the first time and I'm still alive ;D

3. You don't need to do a strip run with a reflux still as it will take all the alcohol from its run perfectly fine though you do have a choice and can if you really want to I just don't see a benefit - though I am just a beginner compared to others here.

4. As long as you remove the first 50-100ml fores the rest is indeed fit for drinking though there is the issues of cutting the hearts out and reconstituting the heads, though fit for drinking the first 300 ml ish (on a 25L wash) will be heads and is not considered as the fine stuff though my first few runs I drank and can't say there was a huge difference but I do now put to one side the first 300 mll after the first 50ml, put it in a heads jar and when you have enough dilute it all back to 20% and run that so you don't waste anything just keep out some of the undesirable tastes.

Don't get me wrong I am far from an expert like some of these guys its just what I have learned in the last 4-5 months of having mine.

Oh BTW you don't need to start running the water for about an hour, the bottom of the column will start getting hot near the water outlet just before the bottom temp reading starts to go up - just saves you some water

Have fun :D :D

1: I need an adaptor to attach to my outside tap for the water inlet, where do I get this from and what do I need?

2: Do I need to run the still with just water first to get rid of anything nasty?

3: Do I need to run a strip first?

4: if not then is it the usual 50ml discard and the rest is fit for drinking?

many thanks and long live the stills ;D ;D ;D
