If not I will come and bang your heads together ::)

I had a similar dispute with a member on the other forum I'm on, but after speaking to him via a webcam link we are now good friends ;D

Try it, it does work ;)

aidanmac and myself, both moderators on this forum, seem to have had a bit of a dispute.
Reading the locked thread should give you all of the details.
I have removed some posts, and it appears that someone else has done the same.
aidan believes I have defamed and insulted him,I don't consider it so,and that was not my intention.
He has given me a board warning, reported me to all moderators and the site owner.
He has locked the thread.
I could unlock it,(I did for my last post),but am waiting for more considered/distant opinion to come in.
TBH I consider it rather sad for this forum,we are usually a friendly lot here.
If aidan wants to join me on the naughty step, maybe we could smuggle in a few of our favourite products? And share them.....

Your 2nd question.
In my opinion, and I have done similar.
Dilute the alcohol to sub 30%,
By the time that you are ready to switch the still off, there should be enough liquid left to ensure no hard burned on residue.
You may,or may not need to scrub it a bit,you certainly won't damage it.
HTH
Robert.

1 Can someone tell me why my post "Airstill arrived " has been locked.

2 I know I have asked this before, I have several bottles of high alcohol wine, up to 20% I made in 2009, these have been back sweetened and unfortunatly we don't like the sweetness. Can I safeley run these through my Airstill, without any damage to the unit. I'm a little worried about the added sugar, which might stick to the unit when heated then cooled. Also we have a couple of small bottles of proper alcohol ie gingerbread rum and orange brandy both 40%, ( which we don't like prefer the ordinary stuff) could we add these to the initial run along with HA wines?

;D Regards Richard
