T500 safety cut off switch

Asked advise from an electrician re said switch.
he said due to the hot-cold-hot-cold nature of
the boiler this was failing and the plastic
becoming brittle. One of the riveted connections
was coming loose.
Would this be ok to adapt

I searched for that number and came up with this on Ebay from China 99p

Or.... take the two wires that go to the switch and join them together, hey presto, it will never trip out again lol

Thankyou very much Ice, have ordered the two so have a
spare if anyone has problems .
In the mean time Anavrin have twisted those 2 wires
together and am standing in a bucket of water holding
the wires to test ;D

I'm now thinking maybe it's a good idea to send for a couple....just in case...if it's happened to you it could happen to anyone of us T5 owners.. ;)

Yes I think the term is dry joint or something
like that. As my buddie said caused by hot cold
etc, its made the plastic bit go brittle.
