Glass trial jars
Hi Guys
I was working in Stockport today and popped in a small HBS that I pass on the A6, I found two glass trial jars and bought them both :-)
One was £7.50, is quite heavy / good quality and has a 250ml scale, the smaller one is a bit fragile looking but has no printed scale and was £3.50, the second is perfect for alcometer readings.
Just thought I'd post it as it's not always easy to find glass trial jars
If you want to find the HBS it's website is here http://www.thebrewshop.com/index.html
Someone's gone to great lengths to make an airstill guide, it's worth a read but only for a laugh!

Ah bless!
What a cute website, with more time and experience, they may be able to offer better advice on distilling.
Until then,it is maybe better to follow the advice on this one.

Re: Glass trial jars
IKEA sell some wonderful gear including Glass Trial Jars with nice big bases that are just about impossible to knock over.
They are 2.00 a pop.
To avoid getting a bad name selling distilling gear, they label them as flower vases, for a single Rose, its a good idea.

Next time your wife wants to go to IKEA don't moan, spend some quality time with her and have a browse in the stainless / glass sections, SWMBO has bought me several presents there.
