Ventilation for gas boilers

So far I have run on electric but the strip boiler needs to run on gas.

For those of you that use gas burners, are any of you doing so indoors? What do you do regarding ventilation and exhaust?

For the amount or gas ring you are thinking of (I have a huger pealla pan too) I think you shouldn't conisider it without a proper flue (& probably even fan assisted).

As well as exit you need to make sure there is enough air coming in to replace what is being burnt by the flames. Good ventilation.

If you are using bottled gas please also consider the condensation.

...and then there are the distillation vapours.

I'm not trying to be negative - I do enjoy your posts and I would like them to continue ... if you get my drift!!

On a more positive note, I do know a chap who does gas certification. I can ask next time I see him if you like.

Are you using the triple burner For the 1.2 m pan?

Intending to use a 17kw equivalent 530 mm dia paella burner. I will be putting in fan extraction anyway, but was considering using a shroud with a vent to take the exhaust outside. I have seen a recommendation of 25 cm2 per kw ventilation for the paella rings.

Am looking at the hydroponic grow room extraction system for the still room.

For something else completely I did find some nice and cheap SS hob extractor hoods on ebay a few months ago.

25cm2 per KW Per? Hour / minute?

25 cm2 free ventilation area for each kw of continuous heat input. That is for unflued appliances.
