I would you Jubilee clip them Probably into three places (think barrel) and then completely submerged in water. You might find they will swell and then become tight again.

In barrels leak all the time. This is standard operating practice.

Hold on to that idea about a CD.....talk to Anavrin first, as I know he's told me that he's was thinking of using his old column again rather than the CD...just a thought from me. ;)

Standing by

but it looks so shiny and glassy :)

I am hopefully plumbing in VT's T500 this weekend, the urge for glassy bits may have subsided by then... ;D

Inspector gaget I have 4 of said oak bottles.
Every one has split just like yours.
First two I made a plasticine "moat" around
the split and poured in some two pack resin,
which I bought from a model shop.
Second two I bought some of that waterproof
mastic, the type they use for sealing fish
thingies. both have worked ok.
The oak bottles are great ,but limited in
volume.
P.S. Only paid for one don't think Lakeland
stock them any more.

Problem is they do produce fast and very
good results. Lakeland kept replacing the
faulty ones,I only paid for one.
Was told to throw away the leakers.
Well now have 4 working. :)

Me and my dad bought some of the JD barbecue chips and steeped some in a jar of neutral yesterday. Totally impressed at how quick it took on a golden colour and nice smell. Will give it a taste when I'm back there on Saturday

I weighed myself.
I am not so tall,maybe 5'7".
For the last 20 years or so averaged 147 lbs.
Hit a high during my body building days prior to that of another 20lbs. All muscle.
12 months ago I dropped to 140lbs.
This week needed formal wear to attend a funeral and only had one pair of trousers that fitted.
Waist size up 4"! 150lb WTF!
I have let myself go, bigtime.

I am going to try and see if low carb, alcohol is do-able, as, on reflection this can be the only cause for the weight gain.

Stand by for artificial sweetener recipes in the fancy licker section of this site.
As the Stranglers sang, "Something better change.." :(
