After consulting Odin from iSTILL, my T500 is packed with SS SPP. I stripped my T500 down and fitted 1 copper scrubber to the bottom of the condenser coil by making an offset hole in it and sliding it up the reflux cooling tube, thus completely stopping SPP geting into the coil, filled it with SPP and held it in place with half of a SS scrubber at the bottom. The T500 will take just over half a litre of SPP to fill it. I did not put anything else in the column. DO NOT USE COPPER SPP (iSTILL recommendation)
The T500 is very easy to strip down.
1. remove the top "U" pipe.
2. undo the 4 screws holding the black plastic condenser brackets.
3. Ease off the condenser.
4. Pull off the plastic water outlet and undo the brass nut underneath it.
5. Push the brass union of the reflux condenser into the column hole.
6 Gently pull the reflux condenser up and out of the column.
7. DO NOT REMOVE THE METAL STAR CLIP FROM THE TOP OF THE REFLUX CONDENSER WHERE IT PASSES THROUGH THE PLASTIC CAP.
