I just found this on Amazon 30 ltr 2.5 kw boiler for £69:99 with free P&P...only 10 left.

It'a a Burco and Stainless Steel...I know there's a couple of members looking for boilers...simple job to add a nice copper column. ;)

I'm not sure that they have their pricing system correct on this item. The individual price appears to leap upwards if you buy more than one??

I noticed that as well...but there are other boilers in that price range.

Worth a email to check on the price, or just go for it and see what they want at the point of paying...you can always back out, not hit the button..

Edit...just tried, clicked on the basket and went to the payment page and it showed £69:99 total....then cancelled...so it does look genuine.

You were the first person I thought of John....some silicon strip around the top lip...I did have a site that sold the same clips as on the T500..hey presto.

Knock up a column and your away....then if needed you build a bigger one next year.. :D :D

That unit is $231 here in the USA i would say buy it while you can if you need something like that..

Especially if you want to try or do all grain on a regular smallish scale basis...

They've been on Amazon for quite a while at that price (even dropped to £65 at one point), was tempted to get one then use my 25 litre Chinese knock off as a thumper but the fusti containers came up so I had them instead. How much do they normally retail for?

That was the boiler i purchased a few months back to replace my old
mashing methods. I have to say it's well worth the money, it's done
the job it was bought for.

Is the lid tough enough to support a 2" copper reflux

It is a very sturdy lid, but it has two vents that would need
sealing, and there is two hole's that would be left when the
lid handle is removed, and it has a 95mm inverted concave,
in the centre
But i think it's do'able, but it needs some kind of sealed
clamp system.

3000 watt heating elements are available in replacement parts from various suppliers if you need an additional 500 watts

An up turned stainless mixing bowl makes for a great replacement lid, can someone with a burco share the diameter?
