What I Did Today
Re: What I Did Today
That's a puzzle....
Do you think that if you took your shoes off that may help?
Or merely cause a double focus conundrum....

Would cheese as a flavour get thru the final distillation.

Rather have a full bottle in front of me

Re: What I Did Today
@ Easy D. Do you calculate prior to a run, to determine the anticipated return? If not, might I suggest you do. It could give you some peace of mind rather than trying to figure out, after the fact, what might have gone wrong if anything did. Then again it might just be light on sugar.
I try and eliminate guess work. By running the numbers on a wash, a strip run and a spirit run, I can determine what the return will be, and sometimes I will measure what is left in the boiler to determine if I called thing right at the end of a run.[shadow][/shadow]

Cheers RJ,
Yes, I run the numbers all the time these days, including measuring the ABV left in the still.
I wasn't really surprised by my result.
Just willing to share my mistake of not counting sugar bags correctly.
Robert.

Re: What I Did Today
It's a pale ale. Lager colour & drinks well warm or chilled.
Gets lots of praise.
5kg malted barley
500g wheat
100g of cascade hops
Very uncomplicated recipe.
Smashing drink.
If you want the full recipe shout up.

Thank you for that Mash.
And yes, I'll bite if you're willing to share. Always more interested in trying brews from that side of the world than this.

Re: What I Did Today
Survived another typhoon last night. It wasn‘t too bad as it veered south of us. 3 or 4 days ago it looked like a direct hit, but fortunately that didnt happen. Got lots or rain and wind. Not too many trees down.

Re: What I Did Today
Thanks, Mash. Most unusual storm the way it turned out. It didnt keep me awake last night. But this afternoon when I went down to the beach, the place was trashed. High surf had destroyed most of the bars, shops and restaurants unless they were way up from the beach.
Electricity, which is usually weak, is so bad, the light in the fridge is a dull glow and boiling the jug takes forever.
