Hi All

I have a tomato wash going for a day or so and apparently can take a few weeks to ferment :(
Anyhow..... once its stopped fermenting and I want to clear it what are my options?

Options I know of are:
1. Just wait, good things come to those who wait!, and wait....and wait....and....

2. Use a turboclear or simillar

3. ?
Are there any alternatives to these two options that are better or faster or clearer?

The old fashioned way would be to take a jug full of the wash out, mix in a few egg whites, and then put it back in and wait a couple of days. I have never tried this myself, but I'm told it does work! TurboKlar would be the quickest and most efficient way, but you could probably get away with filtering somehow too.

just an up date the wash stopped fermenting yesterday so I threw in some turbo-klar (not turbo-clear) the turbo-klar was only $5 about 2 pounds. It looked pretty clear before the TC but as i had to stir it for the TC it stirred up a lot of sediment. I had a look at it tonight and it looks worse than yesterday. Next time I do a tomatoe wash I think i'll just leave it to settle out itself.

I wont have time to do any distilation until Sunday so those 3-4 days should see it clear up ok.
-2 lol I'm originally from the UK so i remember it, just.

I made the same mistake with a turbo wash. On Reading the instructions (I don't normally) says to rack into seconady then add and stir.

Didn't they always used to tell each other to 'rack off' on Aussie soaps a few years back? It just occurred to me that they should probably re-word the packaging over there! :)
