Its a permanent supply for my T500.
I put a 15mm tee into the cold feed pipe to my com bi boiler then a short peace of pipe, a 15mm elbow short pipe, small valve,short pipe,15mm copper to iron coupling ,brass nipple,and the needle valve that came with the boiler. job sorted Alan

In the past I have had a couple of floods because of hoses jumping off fittings.

A jubilee clip may save you having a similar problem.

Now mate try a pressure reducing valve off team supplies on eBay it will revolutionise your runs trust me

One thought you might find you need to put a jubilee clip on the tap end as your photo shows and leave the push on fit at the T500 end as I found the tap end dripped during the run. Depends on how high the kit is above the tap I suppose mine sits on the bench

I couldn't attach the flow controller to the kitchen tap but got my hands on a small bit of 12 mm which I tapped into the controller so I can use some garden hose and a hozeloc fitting.

The 12 mm fits very snug into the controller and won't come off without using a vice, do I still need to get it soldered as well for optimum cotrol and prevention of leaks?

You are are in the best position to judge, you could always hook it up and test it, but the correct answer has to be "it will need soldering". Pipe, although it may look perfectly round, very rarely is. It can be a tight fit in a socket and still leak like a sieve, maybe not today but what about tomorrow?

For the sake of having one joint soldered - is it worth risking flooding your kitchen?
