Just a thought on corn, whole, cracked or otherwise. Its very easy to buy here. Find a local store that carries or specializes in Chinese food. They may have what you need.

Of all the food in China, I prefer that from the north east. Up there corn is the staple and not rice which it is down here. Many varieties of corn bread available.
