A night in Aberdeen and I discover a BrewDog pub just 4mins walk from my hotel, it would have been rude not to try Punk IPA on draft

Well worth a visit, the Punk IPA was good but in my opinion not as nice as the bottled version, the draft 5AM Saint was superbly fresh tasting, better than the bottles.
I also tried An Ace of Chinook and an Ace of Citra, needless to say both are single hop beers, the Chinook was very bitter, dry m and overpowering compared to a the Citra, my standard American IPA recipe will need to be modified to reduce the amount of Chinook, at present its in equal quantities as Citra, the guy on the bar also said BrewDog use a lot of Simcoe as a bittering hop, I've been using Magnum so that might change too!

Good work dude.
I think the recipes are on the net somewhere.....
So which should I do for Christmas drinking? Looking for big brown and bursting with flavour?

Have a Chinook Ale on brew ATM, will be
bottling at the weekend.
Love Punk IPA, joined their club and got
all the recipes, you should see the hop
editions in it.

I've done some good clones to some of the brew dog stuff. The key is LOADS of hops! Especially dry hops

I sampled a bottle of Tractor Sheds Mowdy today, Hoppier than I prefer, but very pleasant.

I think I've lost my download from BrewDog with all the recipes on, I fancy doing a Punk IPA but first I want to make a 5am Saint, it was a much better pint on draught.

Did the cost of the hops not alarm you? I looked at the Punk recipe and thought... Wow that works out expensive.
