Air still it is then. And I have plenty freezer space. Got two in the house and two in the stone shed. The dog is raw fed so have own freezer in house for her food. And one in the shed is for my hops etc. And the other in shed is my kegerator. I'm thinking to start with just doing a neural spirit and trying the essences then build up from there. And I'll try not get too carried away with this hobby. I started homebrew to save cash that didn't turn out well I'm constantly spending money on new things. Atleast I'm brewing beer I like. I'm just new to drinking gin and I'm loving it. My beer consumption has reduced dramatically but I'm drinking between half a bottle to a bottle of gin a week the now.

While you are ordering, you may as well get one of these as well. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=young ... _AUI1wEoAQ

Young's widemouth fermenter. Do NOT get one with a tap. A break off too easily.
IMO probably the best fermenter in the world AND you can freeze them solid in the freezer. Takes about two days. And then turn it over into a good clean stroong bucket and let it drain for 2-3 hours. What comes out will be 30% alcohol. Hi find this normally drops about 11 L. Which is just a little bit too much for two runs, but not enough for three. I cork it up in a 2 L wine bottle and run it with the next one 2+2 =4 , which is close enough.

That is your strip run completed. No still need be harmed making of this 'Jack'
I have had massive success making very good neutral this way - @CHILL iS THIS WHY THE CERAL WASH IS NEUTRAL??

So now you have 2 air still runs and 7 (5 strip & 2 spirit)

If you want to read up on it. This is known as freeze jacking. Often done by teenagers (ahem) jacking up White lightning cider !

Give me a shout if you decide to try it.

Your freeze jacking is the only reason that I can think of that your cereal wash tastes neutral without filtering. Well, that or you have no sense of taste! ;D

Joking aside the wash does still have flavour after the jacking. Even when its freezing cold, there is taste. Just strange.

Nice one mate,
By the time it arrives you will be raring to go.
If you remember to double distill and make cuts to the best of your ability, then you have a good summer ahead of you.
Wishing you well with it,the answers to any problems will be found here. ;)

Robert.

It will not disappoint. Also remember that crap in equals crap out. Don't worry if a wash is a bit cloudy as long as it's not made by a Turbo :-)

You will have time as well to start saving some copper coins 1p & 2p. (The non-magnetic variety)
Ideally you want about half a tumbler.

There we go, that should start a discussion:D

flat is good. have fun.

PS a £2 pipe cutter saved you fingers - if all goes well, you will be handling this stuff quite a lot
