Fermentation won\'t start
Help!
I\'m using the standard ss triple distilled yeast etc. This is my third ever wash. Started Sunday around 3:00pm. Yeast added at 25 degrees. Room temperature constant around 20 degrees. So just past 24 hours and nothing is happening. What should I do?

I think the problem may have been temperature. I put the brew belt around it, gave it a stir, hour later and it\'s bubbling away.

I would agree.
I use a heat mat (was bought it for a christmas present 3 years ago) and I used to have problems in winter before it, now no problems at all with fermentation starting

Now the temperature is too high! It\'s all bubbling away nicely but it\'s 25 degrees. I\'ve moved the belt up to the top inch or so of the wash to see if that drops the overall temperature. I\'m thinking a mat could be easier to control?
