@AT, mate (on my potstill at least) I found the tails to be cutting in at around 63-65%. After that, with airing, my 1 litre cuts bottles ::) displayed obvious fusal oil 'buildup' upon settling. For sure, the further into tails, the more this oil cloud became obvious but.....
I wonder where the happy medium lies; in that, I do want a touch of the generous Scotch flavour notes but DONT want said oils in the barrel. Any ideas; what have you found re 'borderline' spirit?
