Temperature recorders?

Anyone have any experience with temperature recorders? Mechanical with the pen on the drum springs to mind but I'm sure there must be one that connects to a PC surely?

You can get a digital jobby in a USB pen that just plugs in with some pc software. Came close but never did buy one. Quite fancy a thermal image camera but that's hard to justify too.
