The original recipe of Wurzels Orange Wine just used general purpose yeast (I used Youngs Super Wine Yeast)
I must admit I didn't find it that good, but one mans meat & all that.

If your making 25ltr batch essencia super six works well and completes in less than a week, champagne yeast also works great but takes three to four week

If you're going to still it, make sure that the juice is preservative free.

Assuming your pic.is a head-scratcher,I am with you there Brian.
Maybe I foolishly do not worry about preservatives carrying over to a two stage distillate?
I would be happy to be corrected.

It is my understanding that; Some preservatives will kill off the yeast and/or prohibit fermentation, these should be avoided for all forms of fermentation not just washes that are destined for the still.

I would not worry about it too much from a distillation point of view. Just do not waste good sugar on it as it will probably not make good wine or get as far as the still.
