T 500 upgrade?? I'll let you know.
Just wondering how many of you guys with a T500 have replaced the plastic pipe at the top of the column??
I've been going to do it some time...I got around to it today....a short piece of copper pipe and job done...it's only a tight fit but I don't think it'll leak, keep the flour paste ready
I'll try it with a cleaning run over the weekend

I tried to be normal once, worst two minutes of my life.

So long as it doesn't leak, you've saved a fortune on a pot head :-)

I've always thought that for a little bit more work Still Spirits could have built the 500 without the plastic bits. The guys who have them seem to do small upgrades to make them better....I followed Vino's plans for a pot head column way back when I started down this road...even though I have the SDe milk-can I will use the 500 for a quick strip run.
My idea was to buy the milk-can and then sell the 500 to recoup some of the cost..but I just can't find it in me to do it...if I try a new slant on a wash I only do 25 liters, it's not worth setting the big one up for that size wash.
