Water Temperature of 28.5C

Postby famousjorge » Sat Apr 09, 2011 4:33 pm

Hello everyone,
I just purchased a T500. I am so excited I wanted to try it right away. Before I did a real run I wanted to test and make sure all is well with the unit. So I just boiled water in the boiler and wanted to play around with the water flow adjustments.
I live in a tropical country where my water in is 28.4C The water in the boiler started boiling and it came to a full boil. I got the output water temperature to stay within 60 and 65. The column top temperature settled at around 48 and never moved higher. Shouldn\'t the column temperature be higher than the water output temperature in this case?
If there was alcohol would the column top temperature gone up? Should I go buy a couple of bottles of cheap vodka and try to pour it in the water and try again?
Thanks
George

Sorry guys. Please disregard. I went and bought a bottle of Bacardi 151 poured it in about 5 liters of water and gave it a shot. I got perfect 190proof clean alcohol. Almost every drop of it. It was much drinkable after dilution than the original Bacardi. The temperature stayed put. Output was steady. It couldn\'t be better.

Aidanmac,
Thanks mate.
I have a very cool idea I am working on. Something that is very unique and never been done commercially before. If I am successful you will find my product in the shelves in a year or so. This T500 will be a museum piece as I will build a more commercial unit if all goes well.
I had to go through a lot of trouble and money to get my still. I purchased it in a country where it was illegal to own one. But I had no intentions to use it there anyway. Then I had to have it shipped here. Which also went well.
Now all I have to try and figure out if what I produce is superior right of the bat because of the ingredient we plan to use. I do believe it is. The trials done in a primitive setup was far superior to anything I have tasted before.
This project will be grass roots level project which can employ 1000\'s of people and send 1000\'s of children to school. It involves agriculture, art, jobs, education and well being of children. None of the alcohol produced will be consumed locally and will be exported to foreign countries.
I hope this works. Fingers crossed.
