Procrastination...... the enemy of a "wannabe" drunk....
Trying to get my setup back up and running again.
Someone posted a link to small capacity pumps a while back. I think it was something like a 1 or 2 litres per minute flow rate, and I also think these were either 6 or 12 volt (12 would be better as PSU's are easier to get hold of), though if anyone knows of a cheap 240 volt pump like that, it'd be brilliant.
Maybe someone could point me in the direction of the link that was posted. I can't remember what forum or thread it was in, and I haven't found it.......yet !

That's the same one I use and I use it with this power controller http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Professional- ... 3f0871254c
The variable power control allows running the pump at whatever rate works with your setup

Well, that's the pump for my RO filter - a karcher garden pump that will do about 3.8 bar.
Also, the pump that IF suggested above, a connector kit and I went for their PSU as it was convenient, and looks like I won't have to do anything to it to make the connections.
Then I'll just have too sort out a rain collector tank so it runs from the guttering into that, then I can feed the pump for the still, I'll have to get a couple of garden collector drums to collect the "waste" from the still, but that in turn, can be run through the RO filter once it's cooled.
The RO filter is only rated at about 30 gallons per day but that should be plenty for all my home brew needs as well as erindoors orchids......
Worst case scenario, I can just fill the rain tank up with tap water if we got a prolonged dry spell, which is unlikely, likewise, I might have to run a drain hose down the garden into the drain to dispose of any excess water......
I'll have to wait and see how I get on with the kit........
In any case, I'm hoping that the small pump to run the still, will remove the control issues on the still/needle valve and be a lot more consistent instead of the wide swings I used to get from the mains pressure.......

I'll file away that power controller of yours AM for future consideration, thanks.
Not seen that solution ever mentioned before.

Getting closer. Got the main pump to move water around. Got the small pump to supply tbe still and the power supply.
Bought 3 X 225 litre drums via ebay yesterday - collecting them next week.
Then I just need to get the guttering adater to divert water and work out the piping and connections.
I'm thinking that I can run the harvested rain through my RO filter, then I have RO for making wash and letting spirit down, the "waste" from the RO should be fine for the condenser.
Got 1 bucket of wash that needs to go through for a first run then I can add it to the 15 or so litres already run once, let it down to <40% and re run it, let it back down and get it through the carbon.....
