Bottle Labels

Postby quietman » Sat Dec 20, 2008 1:08 am

Hello
I know, I know I'm a proper saddo but I like to put my booze in nice bottles and make silly labels for 'em.
Introducing:
Re My Martin

Northern Comfort

Whack Daniels

I'm a NETTO Disaronno

Any ideas for any more booze name puns?

Am I the only Saddo?

Am I the first to upload a picture?

Those are brilliant! I love the Northern Comfort! How are you making them?
My fake Jack is called Helen Daniels, and I have a lovely picture of her for the front of it but I never got beyond that as I'm lazy!
In other words, you're not the only saddo but you're the best at carrying it through!
Perhaps we should share some label templates or whatever we have? What does everyone think, we could get a collection going?

I'll see if I can figure a way of posting them they are word docs but at worst I could save as an image and post that, good idea for a library. I just photoshop images from the net, my wife thinks I'm losing my marbles.

Are you printing onto stickers or gluing them?

Just onto lightweight matt photo paper and stuck on with pritt stick glue. They stick really well and are dead easy to soak off.

I do that too but so far only for wine and beer, I can see I am going to have to rob the bottle bank as I dont have any spirit bottles, and Wilco's homebrew bottles just dont cut it - lol

The Ikea swingtop ones are good, cheap and re-usable! I had problems with re-using spirit ones as I store them on their side in a rack and they leaked.

I Discussed this idea with Jimmy a few days ago but only just got round to it. Here's a place to post a picture of your labels, either for others to use or just to give everyone a giggle. Feel free to use any of mine that I post (or just have a giggle). I f anyone would like me to assist with designing a label just ask. Here are a few to get the ball rolling.
