Couldnt find my bottle of distilling conditioner the other day when about to do a murky all grain stripping run

Remembered someone on the forum mentioned putting a wee knob of butter in the wash to stabilise it

Must say vast improvement can almost run at full power from the from the off no puking either right at the start and easier to clean afterwards

A result ;D

I did ask about putting butter in a still when I first joined as I was reading up on everything I could, that may have been it AT? here

I thought I'd read it wrong, funny thing I'm down to my last drop of conditioner and was just about to order more, but if the butter works that'll do for me from now.....

Cheers Admiral.

Ps..How much in a airstill???

It'll really work good if your run smells like popcorn, I bet. ;)

I take note, in the couple of runs I have under my belt now, of a quality I call "butteriness" due to taste and mouth feel, mostly, that shows up in the early tails. It's not unpleasant, but I'm worried it might be the fusel oils, or some other headbanger I've heard y'all tell of. What is this taste/smell called in corrected cutter's vernacular, please? ???
