-----------

Things to consider,

1) I may be wrong but, I believe that this has an Aluminium Lid and they are not very strong. You may want to / need to reinforce it or replace it with some stainless steel ( tray or such like from the charity / pound shop )

2) When you say disconect the "washer part" are you going to remove them? if not you will need to know what they are made of.

3) As this is a washing machine and not a tea urn, the thermostat may not allow boiling and, if so, will need to be bypassed / disconnected / removed. If it does allow boiling then it should be set as mat maximum and a power controller used to controll the rate of boil, holding a constant temperature with a thermostat does no good.

All of these are relativly simple to do and I would think that they should only take a couple of hours. It may be worth contacting the seller to see if it does actualy boil water rather than just heat it, and to find out the wattage of the element.

Read the first message here and think about how you are going to clean it:

Some old soap in the clothes wash is not bad, but some old soap in your wash for distilling?
