Essencia best practice
Just wondering what some of you more experienced people would consider best practice with an Essencia.
I currently use an AirStill for a variety of reasons, space being one, and I'm getting decent results using Mozr's guide. I manage to process a wash every three weeks on average.
My Essencia is therefore filtering a batch of about three litres and then sitting idle until the next brew is ready.
Would you recommend leaving it primed (slightly concerned about the spirit/plastic contact) or drain it each time?
Any thoughts/comments are most welcome, thanks in advance!

Re: Essencia best practice
I believe most users of the Essencia are comfortable leaving it primed and ready to go,as I am myself.
It would be an awful lot of work and waste of alcohol to wash it down each use.
The manufacturer does warn that the lid should not be used with above 45%,alcohol.
Some people replace the plastic lid with something as simple as a dinner plate.
If you can find a stainless steel lid that is a good fit,so much the smarter!
Robert.

There is no ONE way.

Re: Essencia best practice
Thanks for your thoughts! I shall rest easier - it did strike me as a faff to drain it each time. The lid idea is a good one, but I'm only filtering at 40% for now.
